Loud duck

I have a three month old golden 300 duck. She's quite the forager and bonded to me well enough to follow me anywhere. However her noise level may be her downfall. She greats me each day with about an hour of loud quacks. After that shes quiet the rest of the day. I don't mind a little noise but the current level will be too much for my neighborhood. I've done everything I can think of to quiet her. Any advice or tips would be a great help, I don't want to make her into cassoulet but I will.

When mine were that age they were loud also......she might quiet down once she matures...?
Mine still greet me with quacks, although it does not go on like it used too....

Do you happen to remember any details? Like how old they were when they got loud vs age when they quieted back down. I don't mind some ducking its just the going on and on that will cost her her head.

Yes, till about 8 to 9 months old....I have one who was a real quaker...She is much better now. Also if they think every time you come out treats are given they learn rather quickly....lol

My white layer 300 duck is going on her third birthday and let’s just say at a shes monster. She has worsened with age, and the noises she’s makes make me cry it gets so bad, face it, ducks are monsters, they make my rooster seem like a church mouse. Just minimize your reactions and attention so she may learn she doesn’t rule the world
