Loud hen

i have 2 buff orphs 2 BR 1 mix hen. One of the Orphs seem very agitated this morning making a lot of noise etc the wife went out to see if anything in coop nothing only one who is uptight. The girls are 17-19 weeks just about POL stArting to get waddles redder in face but not bright red. Could she be uptight because of impending egg?

Btw the wife got herself locked in coop checking on them took her 15 min to get the latch open. Not a happy camper. She called me at work after her escape.

If she's singing now, with in the next week or so she should be laying. Many of my hens have done this repeatedly before actually laying an egg....I think they like getting me excited for no reason is what it actually is.
