they have been great together today! it only happens when there is no food and donald takes it out on louis!

i take the food off them at nighttime, i started doing that when they were inside because if i left them with food they would stay up all night but if i took it away they went to sleep so they never have food at night now

If they're fighting because a lack of food maybe you should just put it in there? It's not going to hurt anything now that they're outside, right? The only reason you wanted them to go to sleep was because the kept you awake because they were in your room, at least that's what I'm assuming. Let them work out their own sleep schedule.

There are always more timid birds who don't defend themselves. It's just the way their personalities are. It's upsetting though.

Also you should leave food with them at all times. Don't worry, they will get sleep fine. Also, make sure the food is nutritious enough, with enough protein etc. Perhaps the fighting is a hunger issue. I think they will stop the feather eating then.

it isnt a food issue its just donald being a bully

ps i have to take the food away at night so it doesnt attract rats, plus they dont poop as much when through the night when they have no food with them so it keeps the "bedroom" nice and clean

Not to argue with you, but "not pooping" is not necessarily a good thing -- means they aren't eating as much and possibly not getting enough food. I realize it's easier for you, but Donald might not be such a bully if he is eating well. I've heard that feather eating in chickens is a sign of protein deficiency.

donald just ate another of louis's feathers! they were swimming in the pool and he just pulled it out and ate it louis didnt seem bothered didnt make a noise or move i think it was one og his baby down feathers whatever they are called lol, this is first time i have seen him do it for a while and its the first day they havent had lettuce so im gonna go buy some from tesco later

you might want to supplement their feed with some protein, like cat food, dog food, scrambled eggs, white meat chicken, worms, feeder fish, crickets etc....

I posted in your other post about how to keep them from being bored.... You can use this protein supplement in a way that will keep them entertained as well as well fed. lol
