We got about 2 hours worth of slow slow/medium rain... My newly planted grass seed is happy.

We got little bits of rain here and there last night. This morning it was steady for about 30 minutes. Oh well, it's better than nothing.

yep here will rain at the house but not at the barn only like 100 yds away.
you can see where the rain stops sometimes in the sand.

I wanted to sleep outside in a sleeping bag.. ready to fire up my fire place.. got Gumbo, soup, and chili fixin's ready to go... lol.. No.. I'm not ready for cooler weather.

Amen!!! We got a nice soaker of a rain Saturday and some wind and lighting last night,. then woke to this awesome day!

I felt like I was in a Disney movie as I walked around the yard this morning,. the air was fresh and dry, the birds were singing, the bees were buzzing,.. the rooster crowing with joy,. the flowers all looked bright and refreshed ,.. all I needed were singing mice and I would have been a cartoon!

I may even move homeschool onto the back porch today!

We need all the cheer we can get after yesterdays game!

Yesterday's game was a stinker all right!

It was wonderful to wake up to cooler temps; sorry it had to wait until Monday & work week to do so!
Knocking on wood, have not lost any more chickens, they are locked up very securely at night & all the extra reinforcing of the coop & run appear to be working.

I had to go and make a HUGE pot of home-made chili yesterday....just in case. Boy am I glad I did that. Lunch will be a no-brainer today.

I'll have plenty to put up in the freezer, great to take to the camp. That way I can spend more time in the woods, and not over a stove.

I am SO ready for deer season. Been looking forward to it for about 9 months now.

It feels so great today....think I'll get out there and play in my flower beds after lunch. I love this time of year.
