"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Mike, guess what I bought?

That baby is powerful. I took out a lot of cans on yesterday. I pity the opossum and raccoon who cross my path.

Also nice! I have an old .410 I use for varmints - it belonged to my grandfather, that's how old it is! but it gets the job done!
I like the quiet without the roos, but I am seeing combs sprouting all over the place w/the new chicks - I'll try & get a pic up this weekend (sneaking on during work, shhhhh, boss is gone right now) -
could you tell the difference in the roos & pullets? seems like all of them have combs so guess this is one of those breeds like the Ameracauanas- you have to wait until they either crow or lay an egg.

I ordered all RIR pullets but I get nervous each time I look at some of them because they look like roos. The combs are kinda big. I hope that I don't have any roos but if I do, I'll just use them for breeding more RIRs.

Surely by 3 to 4 weeks most should be sex-able by their comb size. Every once in a while you'll get a male that is a late bloomer and not show much comb till later on, but surely by now they should be noticeably different in size betwixt the two, also the males will be more pinkish-red first than the females. Should be able to see whats what once you get pics up. how old are they now and I guess I missed what line these guys were from but I'm interested still yet though.

Uh-oh! lookout everbody Julie's a packin' serious heat now. LOL that's good, a varmint rifle. Hey there kuntrygirl if you don't mind me prying in and being nosey. How much did that little number set you back, I sure need me a little quieter way to deter day time arial predators other than a blast from a 12 ga. ever so often that always brings shades and doors cracked ajar to see what in the world is taking place, if you get my drift. Dadblasted crows(well that's what I reffer them as, in code) atcually I really tolerate crows well here even though they do a little damage to my corn and peas, its worth the little bit just for their guardsmanship here on other way more voracious critters(wink, wink)

The gun was $108.00 and the pellets were $2.47. I got it from Wally World.
