"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Terri, how are the peas doing? Any eggs yet? :idunno

Nada, zip, zilch. Crazy birds act like they have no idea! But from what I gather they can run late to start laying their first time-- like April or May --- so I'm not giving up on them yet. The boys aren't giving up for sure, lol, they are fanning all the time now! I haven't heard them do the "jungle screech" yet, either, just their usual "hank" & "yee-hah".  Sounds just like the high school band practicing behind where I work!

LOL @ Sounds just like the high school band practicing behind where I work! That is toooooo funny.. :lau

good mornin La-yers and BYCers too.

Very wet mornin' here too. No, I haven't ever used them wild onions (some call them chives) they sure are some pungent smelly little things though, they ought to give a good flavor to a chicken frickise' (for those that don't know what that means) its chicken gravy but a GOOD chicken gravy. MUMmm umm or as my friend calls it "Gravity"

I eat chicken everything! hahaha. I get ground chicken a lot and use it as a substitute for ground beef in just about every recipe. I prefer chicken to all other meat. :) Don't tell my chickens that though.

Oooooooooooooooooo, I'm telling your chickens what you said. :gig

I"m hearing good reviews from everyone about the chicken "everything". I think chicken will be my new "red meat". :) I think I will go to that place in Maurice this weekend and get some turkey and chicken sausage & turkey and chicken patties. I don't guess anyone has invented chicken bacon yet
? :idunno :smack

Yep! I'm getting tired of all the rain.

Well the PO just called me.....I have more chicks to pick up this morning! Just what we all need....more babies.

I also just got off the phone with one of the State Vets. I'm set up for next Friday to get the NPIP testing done. LOL I have 81 birds as of today ( that changes daily) and only 21 birds over 6-months of age right now.

MORE CHICKS!!!!!!!??????????? :th

Good luck with your testing. You will have fun! :lau What is the name of the vet that is going to do the testing? I think I may have had close to 300 (testable) animals when I had mine first done. :gig It didn't take too long.

Gracie, do you remember the name of the farm that sells the registered sheep? I am changing out my ram and I think I will try to get a ram from that place . Let me know if you still remember the name. One of the babies is a male, so he will have to go as well. :hit
