"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Gracie - the babies are sooo cute! The more I see pics of everyone's sebbies, the more I want one or two, but I am clueless about geese. Are these friendlier than the horror stories I hear? I also don't have a pond and would feel pretty bad about having geese without one. Isn't that a good reason to talk me out of wanting them?

I don't have a pond and I have 15 grown sebastopol geese, 4 grown Pekin ducks, and 6 grown muscovy ducks. I use small plastic pools or plastic tubs for them to have water. They don't seem to care as long as they have access to water. Yeah, I'd rather have a pond but I make do with what I have.

As for the geese, I LOVE my geese! Just be prepared for some ATTITUDE especially during mating season. I teach middle school kids -- I'm used to plenty of attitude

I had two baby sebbies hatch today. This brings me to a total of 7 goslings so far. I have more going into lockdown tomorrow.

I am really interested in a colored female of some sort Twiley. Any color saddleback, or splash. I would also be happy with a plain white. I'm not all that picky!

Absolutely beautiful!!!!! Way to go MIKE !!!!!!!!

Congrats on the Cottonpatch geese! That's very exciting!

I was happy to see the pics of the sebbies. I was quite surprised to see how they turned out. What in the heck happened to the color on the blue gander -- he's turning white. That smooth breasted goose from Gracie is very pretty.

The other female I bought from Gracie has been an egg laying machine this spring. I paired her up with one of my curly white ganders that I've had for four years but he was never bred because I didn't have enough females. He's kept himself very busy "taking care of business". So far this spring, I've hatched 7 goslings -- 6 of the goslings are from this pair. They are certainly my "dynamic duo" this spring.

Lol Twiley the blue passed on Christmas day if you remember so these are the last 2.
Thanks on the cottens I like them even more than the sebbies so far :)

OOps sorry the other is from Twiley gracie lmbo Yall know I cant keep up with all you gals :)

Gracie, I need to post pics of the goslings so that you can tell me what you think I have based on your experience with your flock. The mother of the goslings is the goose I got from you last year. She's very pretty! Her mate is a curly white gander. I think that he's also a saddleback carrier. He's four years old but was never used for breeding because I didn't have enough females. I don't know what is in his genetic background as far as color is concerned. I'll certainly let you know what I have to sell once I have a chance to sort things out. I still have about 15 eggs in the incubator, and a few eggs in the nests of the geese.

I've been TOO busy and haven't kept up with all the posts. Sure sorry about your gander -- he was a nice one!

Where is everybody today? Just got back from my 3rd Dr visit; had a bad spell this morning - come to find out I have either bad hearing or poor comprehension or both because I thought he said to stop taking my old bp meds when I started the 2 new ones he prescribed but that wasn't the case. I am supposed to take all three of them! so now on two in the mornings & one in the evening & I sure hope this all gets straightened out soon! We bought a bp machine to track all the action.

Julie how many pea eggs do you have now? I still have no action from mine other than a lot of fanning & hot air. Send yours over on that horsedrawn carriage to show mine how its done! I can hear them carrying on right now....

Jeff your roosters are starting to crow -- any word on your machine parts? at this rate the pullets may be laying by the time you get them!

Hope everybody has a good weekend; since I'm supposed to be taking it easy I think I'll go take a nap!
