"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

We got some bad news last week. My hubby went for a routine chest xray and a spot was detected. While doing a biopsy on it, the technician deflated my husband's right lung.resulting in a 30 hour hospital stay, they got it reinflated. Now we got the results and it is lung cancer. the surgeon wants to remove the right upper lobe as soon as possible. this will be a major surgery! it is a good thing that i didn't order my black australorp chicks, since he will probably be in ICU for a little while and possibly a week's stay in the hospital. Our cats and dogs can pretty much fend for themselves while I am busy at the hospital. Hubby also has a tethered spinal cord causing his nerves to die and the muscles of his body to deteriorate. rough going here lately since he is between pain mgt. drs. and no GP will prescribe narcotics for him. he is in horrible pain and can barely manage. Due to his spinal condition he has lost the use of his legs and losing strength in his arms now too. please keep us in your prayers, they are greatly appreciated and needed. I'll try to keep everyone posted on his progress! thanks, Garilyn
Our prayers go out to you and your family. Pls keep us posted.

IDEAL POULTRY SPECIAL !!!!!!!!!!!!

Red Broilers

Red Broilers are efficient producers of broiler meat for those who do not wish to have white plumage broilers. Since Red Broilers are more active than Cornish Rocks and grow slightly slower, they rarely experience leg weakness or Ascite, which is fluid in the body cavity. Red Broiler hens are not a good choice for efficient production of brown eggs.
Regular small order and air mail charges apply. This special is only valid for our 11/28 hatch only. This special is only valid as long as the chicks are available, so place your order now. Minimum order is 25 chicks per order. Varieties cannot be combined to meet minimum quantities.
Special Price:
Straight Run: $0.90 each

Good morning everybody! A very nice day here - warming up a bit. Just finalized Thanksgiving menu with my Mom. The office is closing at noon tomorrow so I can get home & get started cooking! Jim's going to smoke a pork roast & I'm making the potato salad, spinach & artichoke hearts in phyllo pastry for the appetizer, cranberry-orange relish, dinner rolls and a burnt sugar cake. Mom's doing a smoked turkey breast, carrots in rum butter, green beans & an apple pie. Dad will do the green salad since he seasons it better than anybody.

It's so nice to have a full incubator rocking along in the utility room! - can't tell you how many people have said "but I thought you weren't going to hatch anything until the spring" -- except for my best friend, who said "I'm just surprised you held out this long" - lol, does she know me or what?

What's everybody's plans for Thanksgiving?

Good morning everyone! What a beautiful day! I slept soooooooo good last night. I have been sleeping with the windows up at night and getting that nice chilly breeze in the room. The roosters begin crowing at 4:30 AM but I just roll over and go back to sleep when I hear them. I am so looking forward to Thanksgiving. I plan on doing nothing. My sister wants me to drive to her house (1 1/2 hours away) but I don't want to be on the road. I want to take full advantage of my day off and do everything that I want to do and that is NOTHING. I plan on staying in my PJs all day and watching the Lifetime movie network. As the day gets closer, I'm thinking I really don't want to cook a darn thing. I have leftover gumbo in the freezer and I"m thinking about thawing that out and eating that. My plans are to be at Walmart so that I can participate in the Black Friday Olympics. I have my list ready and I'm ready. They have the beauty rest pillows on sale for $4.99. The regular price is $15.00. Those babies are so soft. I felt them on yesterday. I walked around the store getting my route together. I have narrowed my list down to the following items:
1. Towels
2. Sheets - 700 thread count
3. Pyrex 24-Piece Bake & Store Set
4. Fire Pit
5. Beautyrest Down Alternative Gel Pillow
6. Rival

5-Speed Hand Mixer

Hopefully, I"m out in less than an hour. I"ll have to time myself.:p

Good day ya'll! :frow
