OK I have a problem -- I think the three guineas are harassing the hens when they're on their nests.
I had them all out roaming around the other afternoon, & I noticed one hen on the nest, then the 3 guineas went stalking inside there & commenced to start hollering & she came flying out of there like her tail was on fire.
I remember noticing guinea feathers in a couple of the nests, & at the time I thought maybe the female was getting ready to start laying, but now I'm wondering.
I haven't gotten ANY eggs at all in going on two weeks now. Some of it's the lack of sunlight, a lot of it's that my hens are all old now except for my two RIRs - but zero eggs?
Do ya'll think the guineas are the reason? If so, they may be turned into gumbo real soon....
