Congrats on the guinea eggs!  I found a new egg today--trying to figure out who laid it.  Oddly enough, I think it's the youngest pullet in her pen.

They are beautiful! Peas bring back a childhood memory. My extended family lives in Richland parish (near Monroe). An aunt of mine had peas when I was a child. While the adults were visiting my brother and I were sent out to play... We were told we could go pick up feathers, unfortunately for us and the birds we heard "go pick feathers" :-(

Didn't take long with all the commotion outside that my aunt came running. Boy was my mom upset and embarrassed. We kept those feathers for a long time... Poor peas...

Too funny !!!!! Poor peas.

Has anyone gotten wipped by a rooster as bad as I did Sunday before last..
The only mean one I had. I always keep roosters with spurs trimmed but failed to trim him. I had a guy that wanted to buy him even though he was a man hater. When I reached in to grab him he smoked me bad. Bite marks, spurs went in deep in two places.. When i looked and could see a small but kind of deep hole I was like holey poop.. the pics where taken the next day at noon.. I went to the doctor and he said the first layer of skin where red was getting infected and he put me on antibiotic that are also a sulphur drug for bacteria.. crazzy

I got whipped like that once -- that roo only lasted as long as it took me to go get my camp axe. Gator bait! I don't tolerate mean roos. They're too easy to replace.
