Yes, you worm on a regular basis, regardless.
Thanks, these were great sites and my little notebook is getting bigger.

i do the same - keep mine in the "medicine cabinet" -- just made a note I have to pick up some Safeguard for the next worming cycle, & a couple of things I keep on hand for the dogs that I have to get from the vet.

I have a huge toolbox and a couple shelves in the fridge filled with all the meds and syringes I need. Also, I have several pages of medicine and dosing information on the fridge in the barn as well.
The few minutes or hours it can save can mean the difference between life and death for one of our birds.

Another is about to hatch. I think this was the second to pip. Next one up was the first, I gotta go get the brooder finished. We got some Sav-A-Chick.

I'll move them to the brooder tonight as soon as the other one hatches.

Finally!

don't be in a big hurry to move them -- it'll make your humidity & temps drop & that is not good for the rest trying to hatch -- they can stay there until tomorrow w/o a problem. You can wait until they are fluffy and dry before you move them.
The space station was very bright; I called your grandma & she saw it, too.
they are beautiful chicks -- so golden!!

Beautiful little chick! Congrats!!
Thanks! Second one is close but hasn't done anything in 2 hours... I can see it breathing though.

I'm fixing up a way to add some water without taking the top off. Main reservoir is completely dry. 2nd and 3rd are low. I hope I wake up to a 'bator full tomorrow. If the pips aren't moving, I'll have to do something.

Just purchased some "red pullets" from TSC last week to add to my flock for egg production. My sister in law bought some last year and have been great layers for her. My question is; does anyone know what kind of chicks these are?

Ok got some water in through a straw. Between that and wet chicks, it'll be fine till tomorrow. The first hatched has barely dried enough for me to tell, so the humidity level must be fine. A 3rd chick is almost done with his/her "ring". The first must have got bored. He just sits there looking up, but he's breathing and he peeps alot. The second pip/first hatched is bowling with the other eggs. I got them spoiled with a lamp. When I turn off the light they go nuts.

!!!!

And with that, I'm tired.

Good-Night!
