They look a couple days old to me, are they the ones, who's mama wasn't nursing them because she had no milk? I am glad they are doing so well! The milk problem has not been a problem for me, at least not yet, thank God! I always breed at least 2 on the same day, so if anything happened to one doe, I have the other doe for milk, even if she has to nurse in shifts. Also I find that is I would ever get a very large litter and a very small one, at the same time, say one has only 6 and the other has 14, I could take 4 from the 14 and give them to the 6, so mamas can nurse 10, but 14 is a little much! I would not sell any of these that got switch, but they would taste good at 12 weeks. Rabbits are very good at adopting other's kits. I have never had a problem with that. Do you have other rabbits besides these?
Yes Jeff, the pagan goddess called Eastar, whose' followers went into the woods in the Spring right after the equinox and rolled eggs around and had orgies, like rabbits, to worship their fertility goddess and gods, for blessings of fertility, but I can't understand how Christians adopted these symbols and linked them to Christ's Crucifixion, that Passover is about? Christ became our Passover, by his death, ushering in the age of GRACE, through which we can be forgiven, when we repent for our sins?Hey yeah it was great to meet you and the crew and Terri and Jim(again) too, (I'm a poet, didn't ya'll know it)LOL
I will surely let you have first dibs on them as soon as I figure who's gonna stay and who's gonna go. I have a fairly good idea already but I got to get my organized mess a little less messy first and see what and who I got room for. I'm gonna be diminishing my production/layers bunch down quite a bit as have big buckets and buckets full of eggs(already, not even springtime yet, too) I can't move all of them here in the grand ol' metropolis of Hornbeck. LOL I wished I had time and an easier way to get them to town, I could make a small fortune off those eggs as city folks go nuts over them and pay big,big bucks for them.
good day all Oh yeah Celie the bunnies and eggs are symbols (pagan) of a new beginning/new growth (Springtime/Easter)
