"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I get that. I was actually more referring to the other folks posting about shunning all the Louisiana threads on Facebook.

Trust me..we deal with this same crap every day. You know my husband has been REALLY upset by the rich customer who wanted him to practically work for free. I just reminded him that in that guys eyes, we have little to no value: I call us the Service Peasants. What said rich guy does not realize is yes, you can get cheap labor, but you are more than likely going to end up with cheap work too which will bite him in the rear when he tried to sell his McMansion. I just tell the hubby stand your ground and write a detailed contract if he buys that job. Then, be happy every week when you deposit the check at the bank. We always think of the penguins in the Madagascar and say, "Just smile and wave boys....smile and wave!"

Scammers stink no matter which way you cut it. It doesn't matter if they are just outright ignorant, self important, greedy, or whatever it is all equally irritating. Other than the actually downright dumb people who although irritating, can't help themselves, the rest know exactly what they are doing. They are hoping you are some sort of walking, talking vegetable that they can take advantage of and profit from you and your work. So, next time one of those people you give a per egg price to asks how much for a dozen...instead of telling them the right price make it an even $50 or $75 and tell them it is a special deal just for them. If they get mad, well then mission accomplished.

To me those FB pages are like thrift store shopping. You have to dig through A LOT of useless junk to find that rare treasure! There are good people to be found

Good morning ya'll.

I am getting some VERY interesting calls and emails about my turkey eggs and guinea eggs that I have for sale. You tell people a price and they try to make an offer that is half of what your price is. SERIOUSLY?? REALLY?? Come on dude! Do I look like Wendy Water Head? :smack  I guess these people don't realize that when these eggs hatch, they have a small fortune/investment. :/ And they expect to get the eggs for nearly free. NOT !!!!!! :gig

I pick and choose who I give deals and freebies to and it's not to any Tom, Harry and Honey Boo Boo that emails or calls me. It's for people that I know or people that I have chosen to "pay it forward" to. ;)

Have a great day ya'll. :frow

Totally agree! It is hard to weed through the muck to find good honest people with healthy, clean and cared for animals.

I actually had my husband's ex wife ask to buy some chicks from me--I told her what I had left. Then without asking the price she said, "Can I get all those for $25?" Oddly enough, she had just bought another 30 or so birds from another lady. Well, if you want the cheap ones...go buy them! Some of the splash marans, orps, and show lines of birds I have I just cannot and will not sell for under $2 to anyone! Mixed breeds are one thing. Show lines and rare birds are another.

I too often find that people think when they call and ask for chicks they think that a chicken is a chicken and shouldn't cost much. It's hard to explain that chickens come like cars....Do you want the Ford, the Caddy, or the Lamborghini?

So, I took a pic of this when I got home. All I want to know is what in the world happened yesterday when I was at work.

This feeder is a hanging feeder that stays in the raised coop. How did this happen????????????????????? And who unhooked it and threw it out from inside the raised coop? And who busted it up? :smack  These questions and many more will NEVER be answered. :/

Yeah it's like going to the Porsche showroom with enough money for a pinto and expecting to drive anything other than swift kick to the behind out the door.
