lol I get nervous every single time I hatch! Don't try to get your humidity up too fast or you'll "overdo" it & it'll suddenly spike too high (ask me how I know that) Once they start hatching, the humidity naturally climbs on its' own. You may or may not hear or see anything for a while, you can try tapping on the top of the 'bator or calling to the chicks (yes, I stand glued to my 'bator making cheeping noises at my eggs)! it'll drive you crazy when you first see them rocking or hear that little "wheep! wheep!" calling back to you. Don't open the top unless it's a dire emergency! and good luck! sending positive hatching vibes your way!
Gee Julie, long drive for you -- we are planning to leave about 8:00 & get there around 10, stay a few hours & then head home in time to feed the zoo before dark. I have a full coated Cocker I have got to put into a summer puppy cut this weekend at some point & that's a good 3 hours work w/the bath & all.
Stay safe everybody! we already had the power fail once at work this morning but it came right back on, the storms aren't supposed to hit us until this evening & tonight I think.
forgot to add, Barred Babies; cute find!
