Forgot to mention the final list of fruit trees that I got.

Went to Abbeville on Friday and bought the following trees:
1. Satsumas
2. Plum
3. Peach
4. Fig
5. Pear
6. Concord Seedless Grapes

Went to Alexandria and Terri gave me a BUNCH of fig trees and wild plum trees.

The "orchard" has been planted. Now we wait for fruit and wine and jelly but not in that particular order. Terri, grapes are on sale at WalMart, so I hope to be starting some wine this week. I need to practice for when I am able to get fruit from the back yard. I will have a bottle of grape wine on the side for you when we go back to visit. I'm sure it won't be too long away.

What's the status on the earring? Sorry to hear that.

No earring as of yet. Still eating, drinking, and expelling waste like a normal duck. It is interesting to watch a teenage girl dig through duck poop daily looking for an earring. Every time the poor thing poos she runs behind it to check.

Hello everyone i was wondering if y'all could help me out with some breeds Im not sure on

Number 1 looks like an EE to me. Number 2 I'd like a better side shot of, but it also looks like a mix--I can't tell by the comb, but brahma or cochin mix?

Also..

Number 3 is definitely a roo. Someone else may correct me, but with the dark legs I'm thinking he's a barred EE. Number 4 I can't see the comb on, but looks like a cochin or cochin mix. If that were a light brahma it would have a small comb and be showing some black on the wing tips. Where did you get these?

Julie, your animals are a hoot! If I had that many natural incubators i wouldn't worry about the mechanical ones.

I hatched my 1st sebbie gosling of the year today. I have 6 more eggs that will go in lockdown on Wednesday.

Add in ladies feminine pads that are wet down with warm water--it jumps within a minute. You should be in the 60's for hatching.
Okay...now I want lambs. What else did he have up for sale? We have ten acres, some of which is partially fenced. And those things are gorgeous. PM me some info, please. Surely dear hubby won't argue... You'll all just have to be supportive the first time I have one that's ready for the freezer--I tend to get attached.

Don't name your food and don't think about the ones that will be going to freezer camp, as pets, they are food. Also if you don't buy any meat at the store and start getting very hungry, that helps too! LOL

finally! 1st egg from my 1st chickens on April Fool's! Hehe just sharing because they've been stringing me along with squats and egg songs, I've been pacing the coop all week lol. Yay!
