"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

New lesson learned... I thought my old hog waterer was big enough for the 57 day olds for a few days. Its the size of my dining room table! Doesn't look like it, seems like I have to drag out the big brooder. My kid took the batteries out of the camera and I haven't reset the date so ignore it. Seems like they haven't slept much in their travels, I keep checking on them because they are falling asleep in the feed and standing up. If they all make it threw tonight I am good to go.

I have a "stalker" who continues to email me and ask me what I have to sell and the prices. When I email this person back, their standard response is, "Oh, I can't afford that." Why in the heck do they continue to email me???????!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad there isn't a "Return to sender" button on emails. I wonder if there is a way to block their emails from coming through. Then maybe they would get the idea.

Aw, tired babies! Where did you order them from? I can't recall if you mentioned before. Just wondering because that's great that they just threw in some extras.

I just got my broilers in. All came in alive and active, got 57 instead of 50 paid for. If all make it to processing day than the cost per lb has already reduced. Has anyone ever used this grogel plus b? I've never lost a chick and haven't used this stuff before, but they sent it for free. It looks good by the label, just haven't dealt with it before. Wish me luck!

I can't wait to order my broilers. A few friends have told me that they will let me use their plucker or they will pluck them for me when it's time.

Most E-mail accounts have a Block Sender icon in the e-mail itself. Just hover over each icon until you find it.

They had an special in their advertised special section a couple of weeks ago for black broilers at $1.05 a bird and no shipping. When I paid the special was for $1.15 a bird, they refunded the difference and sent me an e-mail explaining that the price had dropped before my shipment. I had no clue until the e-mail. Then when I got my birds today they had included this Grogel Plus stuff. I saw it on the site for $3.95, but I didn't buy it and they didn't charge me for it. So far I like them, this is my first time with mail order chicks. I have heard horror stories about death rates for shipping on this site. So far so good, everyone alive and loud.

I will have to try to block because they are really getting on my nerves. Thanks.

I have heard, or read rather, horror stories of people getting a box of chick that were mostly dead. That would be awful! Now that you mention that sale at ideal I remember seeing them post that on face book. I really want to raise some more broilers, but not add many as last time. I ordered from Mcmurray this spring. It worked out great. But if I want less this next time I will have to go through my local feed store. They will order me as few as 5 even, I would just have to wait for someone else to make up the difference to get to the hatchery minimum. Trying some red ones is appealing to me.

Good morning ya'll. I have a question......... Would it be safe to say that if someone can't afford to buy chickens, then they probably can't afford to buy feed to feed the chickens they bought? I'm just saying.

Have a good day! :frow

Auuuuu...that would be "yes". Maybe they are those kind of people that think they can just stick them out in the yard to fend for themselves and eat any eggs if the poor birds manage some how to survive. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!
