"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Some days are just not easy. No matter how much I want to cry, dig a hole in the garden and cover myself up......I have to try. Put on the boots and pull them up. So today I did just that. I got the Plum tree trimmed. It came out looking pretty nice and I didn't hurt myself in the process. Always a good thing. I also trimmed up a couple of other smaller things too. Soaking up some sun is always nice. The bumble bees/wood carver bees/honey bees are finally pollinating the Tomatillo plants and the worms have finally decided to leave them alone. So I think I will get a nice little crop all at once in a week or two. Enough to at least make a couple of jars of green salsa with them. YUM!

I am also cleaning some more beeswax in my makeshift solar oven. So low tech and hands off, lol! Coffee filters and a big piece of beveled glass can do amazing things.

Ok. I just talked to my friend and he said that he can build me a raised garden. I don't know if I should be happy or if I should cry. Let me think about it for a minute.

Well there ya go! Lol! Just a little tid bit. A few years ago, for our raised beds, we went to a place near here and bought garden soil by the truck load. It was a lot easier and less expensive than getting it by the bag to start out. Now we just add the bagged compost etc if we don't have enough of our own homemade. Maybe you have somewhere near you that you can do the same sort of thing to save on $$$ and the back too.

I would love to get Le Pan tablet. They cost $179.00. Maybe I can sell enough painted black chickens and fool people and tell them they are pure bred.

Does anyone make home made laundry detergent? I want to try but too lazy to get the list together and go buy the stuff?

Anyone make home made soap? There is a thread about home made soap on BYC.

Depends on your definition of "homemade". Are you saying like cake mix in a box "homemade" or from scratch "homemade"??
