"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Also If anyone is interested in buying non-GMO seeds for your gardening.  I discovered a neat seed club that sends out only non-GMO seed.  I was a member for about 9 months and I love all the seeds they sent me.  They have a fb page and a website.   They also send out email newsletters.  I did not renew my membership last month because I have plenty of seed.  But I sure will renew it when I need more.   There is more info on their website about how they work things.

Man, ya'll are really pushing me to plant another garden. :/

Julie they are easier and will not have weeds atleast the first year if you put down the weed guard cloth first then you HAVE to get uninfested topsoils which usually means bought by the sack. As all dirt is going to have a certain amount of weed/grass seed in it the only way to get them out or kill them is to sterilize it (imagine that process in detail) Look on amazon and get the Square foot gardening book by Mel Bartholomew it is not very expensive and it will give all the info you need to grow just enough for you and plenty to put up every season or even twice a year of you do the fall stuffs.

Jeff
That's exactly the book I read that made me decide to go with the raised beds! I checked it out of the library.

The horses owner stopped by my house to talk. He's an older gentleman and was crying about Sandy. I suggested as an option for Odie (the 20ish horse). I would have the vet check him over, give him his shots, and an updated Coggins. After a "quarantine" period, if they were interested, I would bring Odie over to one of my pastures and put him with my old gelding (Star 24yrs...the BEST kids horse EVER!!) so that Odie would have some company and not be alone. I have NO interest in owning Odie, he is not rideable, I simply didn't want him to be lonely. The owner said that he and his wife would really like that idea, but he wasn't sure about his 30 or 40 yr old daughter, who I have NEVER met in 16 yrs...who I could stand right next to in Walmart and never know...who NEVER comes out to even look at the horses...

Did I mention she lives 15 minutes away?????????

He wasn't sure she would want Odie to be off the property.. AAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!! I told him if it helped she could stop by any time she wanted. I don't want the horse, if Odie comes here, it's simply more work for me. I just thought it was the right thing to offer....PEOPLE ARE STUPID!!!!

Ok rant is done...I might be a little more hostile than normal today...I like the old gentleman, it's his daughter that's the TWIT!!! I wonder if SHE tweaks and twerks? Might explain a few things??

I'm sorry you lost your horse friend. That is very sad :( And as far as people are concerned.....you just can't fix stupid.

No pushing here! You are plenty busy. Just sharing because I really was impressed and loved getting that envelope in the mail once a month! It was like I had mailed myself a present.....and I didn't know what it was going to be each time. I really like each one they sent. There were only a few that I won't use and I can and have used them for trade with other gardeners that were into that particular one.

I have decided to go all organic gardening awhile back. So when I spotted this at TSC I snatched up about 8 bags!!!

I have both kindle and nook for pc. I love books and can search for the best price that way. Not to mention the large amount of free books you can get.
Doesn't it make it so much easier?! I have liked a few pages on fb that are great for posting "free book" links. They are pages that always seem to post books I am interested in. I love it.

I would love to get Le Pan tablet. They cost $179.00. Maybe I can sell enough painted black chickens and fool people and tell them they are pure bred. :lau

Ok. I just talked to my friend and he said that he can build me a raised garden. I don't know if I should be happy or if I should cry. Let me think about it for a minute. :/
