"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

OMG! Now I feel like it's my fault. Sorry.
I haven't seen any movement in any of mine. They may all be bad

Blah! I give up! Everything out there smells like futt now, so there's no way to discern between the baddies and the viable eggs. I'm about to research the Top Hatch bator. Do any of you have experience with it?

STOP!!! Before you dump any of them!!!! ONE bad egg will make your whole neighborhood smell!!! What you need to do is candle your eggs, CAREFULLY.. you will know the one or two that are bad because they are completely different looking.

placing the big end of the egg on the light, you will notice the air sac. If you are at day 15 most of your eggs will be black except for the air sac. The bad ones will look swirley.. kinda cloudy. Once you have found the stinkers, remove them from your bator and quickly take them outside and dispose of them.

I had 1 bad egg last hatch that OMG stunk my whole house up!

Thanks. I have two that are 'swirly', and the rest are black save for the air sack. Funny thing is, I thought those might be the bad ones.

Not your fault fella. My butterfingers self.

What day are you on??

Sooo embarrassed! I can't find my notes. I set a dozen eggs right after the expo. So it was either 4 days or 5 days after.

Well if that's the case you should be in day 21 or 22. Best thing to do is get you a calendar especially for your hatches.

Sure wish I had bleached out that horse trough for a brooder before now. Seems like there's always something that needs to be done.
