"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I'll be fifty in February .I think we all age so much more gracefully than older generations. We know so much more about taking care of ourselves. You should look at the positive things. Dwell in the negative you might get a wrinkle for you birthday! No one wants that. have a happy birthday ! Did I read write your a cougar ? Turning 40? Your very lucky! Lol Pam
Pahaha!! Ok, my second laugh of the day! I don't qualify to be a cougar.......no $$ Besides he tells people that he had to chase one that couldn't get away....ie he could run faster than me

myself sometimes. I've never had the mentality of my peers and my dog ruined my knee last year so I will have fits of knee pain for the rest of my life. I could get surgery but I really rather not.

DO NOT get surgery!!! I have RA, played many sports when young, and got hit pretty hard by a car all leading to requiring total knee replacements in both knees. They scheduled them 6 weeks apart to reduce recovery time but I opted out after the first one was replaced. My new knee hurts worse and more often then the one that was never fixed. They say it may cause a "little discomfort at times", what they don't tell you is that you can predict the weather before the weather man can by the pain. It gets stiff often and gets colder than any part of my body (pins) causing more pain. The only thing they can offer is more surgery and physical therapy.

I think cougar is women that date, or marry younger men! Lol . A sugar momma is the term for supporting younger men b/c they have a lot of money!! I'm glad it gave you a chuckle an brought you out of your 40rtys funk!!! You really come into your own in your forties! Look to the positive things in life you have yet to discover. You have so much more in front of you than behind you. Have a happy birthday and anniversary .You have a lot of life in front of you go enjoy it. Pam

BORED out of my skull as well today!!! I am trying to rock away the pressure and ache in my low back from these storms going through. My husband and I have our birthday tomorrow and I freely admit to being in a grumpy "no fun" mood.

Yeah, I don't plan on having surgery. I've managed for the last year. My mom is an RN and also said that surgery could do more harm then good, so I have resigned myself to a good long relationship with some knee ache. I've already had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago and I'm not eager to go under anymore knives anytime soon. Not like I can really run anywhere anyways, with another condition I have. If I get up to quickly - I pass out. If I change speeds too quickly, or stand still too long- the same thing.

I'm with you on this one. The first year after. MY wreck I. Was begging for surgery b/c I couldn't take the pain. I was told no by conservative Dr.s. I also think no dr. Wanted to do anything b/c attorneys were involved. My PT told me be glad that when they fuse a joint the one on top and below become unstable. Now 10 years later I have a dr. That wants a new MRI I'm ok with that but I think he's going to push for surgery. Now I can manage my pain before I could not. I don't know one person that had surgery that is better than they were before they had it. Most feel worse as far as back/ neck issues. Pam

I've always had cougarish tendencies. Lol. But not the "supporting another person" part either. Lol
