"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Cool. That would certainly be the easy way. If they won't eat it like that, they are so spoiled, I guess I can smash them with a hammer.

Mine will eat them. It's not their first choice, so I throw them out with their scratch. Celie and others spoke to what a great help the BOSS are with molting.

I have been sitting my sons great dame since Thanksgiving & she thinks it okay to chase my flock, so for my flocks protection I have been keeping them in the coop/ run area more than they like. Weather been nasty too. So the other day I was in Big Lots & noticed a bag of sun flower seeds for $ 6.00 for 3 lbs. bag I thought now that's pretty cheap so I picked it up & looked for more, only the 1 bag. been mixing some in with the scratch they love them.
I'm going crazy locked in my house today this rain needs to stop

Theyre so Frickin cute! Lol

They are! Don't think I could eat them I would be too attached. I have heard how good their droopings are and you don't have to compost to use it. That would be my stratigy to keep them around if
i had them.Pam

P.S. I have ate rabbit before and enjoyed it. It was wild rabbit that my Dad hunted.

I feed mine the seeds, shell and all.  If I'm doing it wrong, I don't mind being corrected, but they eat them like that happily.  :idunno

I always buy shell free an make my own scratch. They eat what falls from the wild bird seed and it has shells. So I don't know if it matters either way.
Ron just informed me he's seem e hawk around our house last week. So I'll be extra vigelent. Pam

We catch their waste in bins and collect it. Some straight to the gardens, some in the composter and a pile that gets sold. My chicken poo compost sold out last spring in 2 weeks at $8 a 50lb sack lol POOP! So this year ill do the same plus offer rabbit berries ready to use :)

As for this litter you've seen they have been spoken for. Lol we are keeping 4 depending in sex ratio, 3 are on reserve for a gentleman as a breeding trio. 2 pair on reserve for show bunnies 2 class pets lol
Gosh darn it when do I get to eat!? Have bought 3 batches of chicks CX and have had litters of rabbits and we still haven't had to process anything except wild rabbits and my bully hen that started all of this madness! Lol
So we can enjoy these 2 litters of babies without knowing they will be in my belly.
Kewl part is I get to cuddle them all! I socialize all bunnies leaving that aren't meat. Hehehe

BORED out of my skull as well today!!! I am trying to rock away the pressure and ache in my low back from these storms going through. My husband and I have our birthday tomorrow and I freely admit to being in a grumpy "no fun" mood.

I don't want to turn 40........if I ignore it will it just go away please??!!!

I did peek at the eggs in the bator today. I see color is some. Our eggs seem to have a higher % of fertility than the ones we got from hubbys co worker. Another few days will be able to tell better. Anyone else that uses this kind of bator in these humid environment just do a dry incubation until towards the end? And whats up with people putting ladies "feminine products" into an incubator?

I'm glad you get to enjoy this litter. So far we have used all our chicken poo compost. I never thought of selling it that's a good idea. I think I will do that when we have extra. I've been wanting to get a worm compost I have a lot of worms in my yard so I just need the worm composter. I've bought worm casting in Metairie they weren't cheep. I made compost tea to make it go further . My garden was better than usual that year. I've only heard good things about rabbit droppings. Pam

Happy Birthday!
