Good Monday morning everyone! I think we all need to say the "S" word like a million times and talk about it all day........then maybe we will jinx it so it won't happen Tuesday. Hahaha!!! My kids enjoyed the snow SOOOO much. They also got to help clean the floor from the snow they tracked in

I'm going to have to find a good book, because I have a dr appt this morning. I'm glad the roads are clear!

Warmed up to 58 & snow's gone! -- it was pretty, it was fun & now we're glad it's gone. It lasted just long enough. Let the chickens out & they had a blast roaming around all day. Now time to go lock them up for the night.

Saw several sets of tracks in the snow around the runs this morning -- coyote -- they came, they tried, they failed, they left. Thanks to good tall strong fences & coops!

according to the weatherman it's coming back for the next couple of day!!! When ever in the history of time was there two snow events a few days apart?

In St. Tammany, they are talking about schools being closed Tuesday AND Wednesday!!!! Ohhhh boyyyyy!! My youngest was outside this morning in the garage doing a RAIN/SNOW/SLEET dance. He's easy, he just wants school cancelled and some snow to play in.

Prim, please tell Amanda that I LOVED my card she made me!! That was very sweet of her. I also can't wait for my plants to start growing that you two brought me. The poor things have been tucked up in the garage to keep them safe with this weather we've been having. Tell her she'll have to come visit again once Baby Bay has her foal.

How long should I keep Stinker (Polish) seperate from the others? She's in the garage at night, is turned out with the others when they are loose. It they are just in the run, I keep her in the barn or kennel in garage. Her tush is healing up, but as of yesterday, her stools were still a little loose. I'm dreading the next egg!!!!! She was my one that got egg bound on Thursday and I helped her get it out Thursday evening. I bathed her Saturday morning to make sure she was cleaned up and she LOVED it!! I always thought you guys were full of it when you said they love a bath. She did! She fell asleep and loved the blow dryer even more!

Does anyone feed their chickens shrimp shells? I made shrimp stock and was about to throw out the shells but wondered if chickens can eat them and be ok.

I also made turkey stock and rabbit stock. I think I'm "stocked" up.
