"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Hahahaha @ kiddie pool....I can see it now a loose kiddie pool zooming around the streets at 100mph that shot down a lil hill of awesomeness and an echoing laugh trailing lol
We would love for you to come. If you can't, just find a hill and a big box and take apart to make it flat and curl up the front for something to hold onto. Or even one of those kiddie pools you have. I had several real sleds in Knoxville so when anyone came over we could all sled. It was a sad day when I sold them at a garage moving sale when I was moving back to LA. I never thought I could use them here. But I still have my snow clothes. Yea!!!

I'm sorry buggles...she is saving ALL her soap for ME!!!

I grew up in Nebraska with PLENTY of snow!!! We would go to the lake where there was a tall levee and climb the hill and get on a sled or my favorite, a toboggan. We could fit 3 kids, sometimes 4 on the toboggan. And down we would fly.

How long should I keep Stinker (Polish) seperate from the others? She's in the garage at night, is turned out with the others when they are loose. It they are just in the run, I keep her in the barn or kennel in garage. Her tush is healing up, but as of yesterday, her stools were still a little loose. I'm dreading the next egg!!!!! She was my one that got egg bound on Thursday and I helped her get it out Thursday evening. I bathed her Saturday morning to make sure she was cleaned up and she LOVED it!! I always thought you guys were full of it when you said they love a bath. She did! She fell asleep and loved the blow dryer even more!

We just wanted to make sure the next egg came out OK. If she is roaming with the others she may have already laid an egg. Can you tell what egg is hers and if she has laid?

! It is easier to ask for forgiveness then it is to ask for permission. Make sure your neighbors are happy and you should be fine. Free eggs and compost with a clean coop make them the happiest. If you can get them to start their own that's even better. The main thing that erks neighbors are the rooster crowing at 4am and the smell of an improperly cared for coop.

'Bout time! You have us all hooked!

Quick hi here - fixing to head to my ortho Dr. I thought my Mom was going to fall under our carport & grabbed for her & I fell right on my knee instead. My bad knee. The one I had surgery on 2 years ago. It has gotten steadily worse all weekend. Praying there isn't more surgery in my near future here.

My hubby gets payed the same amount at the end of the month regardless so he's pretty happy with every day off. lol. Bringing warm water around a couple of times a day and such isn't that bad of a price to pay for us.

I had a LOT of catching up to do.
Update on my repurposed hen 'shelf' boxes... they still haven't laid in them yet, though I did notice that out of the 6 sections, nests have been made in 3 of them. I am hoping they take the hint. I meant to lock the hens in yesterday so they would HAVE to learn to use it, BUT, we got up at 5am to go fishing, and I didn't have the time to separate hens from roosters. Then today I forgot. So tomorrow, I will get it done. But them making a nest, that shows they kinda like it right???
