I don't want to complain...BUT, I would!!!!  As much as I HATE the freezing cold wet weather we've been having, I would cry if we went immediately to that!!!

We'll get there before you know it. We'll all be whining about the heat and humidity!

I'm trying to fly under the radar here. I think turkeys might give me away. Lol

Oh yes they would! They are NOT quiet birds. Not very smart either. lol. 

You are in for a real treat.

A turkey is a very curious bird. If they free range, expect them to fly on your car and your neighbor's and your visiting guest's cars. They love to sleep in trees. They are very fragile at birth. They are not like a baby chick AT ALL. They require more care. If they are not raised with a mama or other adult bird, you have to teach them to eat and drink . If not, they will starve to death and you will have no idea why your hatch of birds have died. I warn and caution people to know what they are getting into before up and getting babies or turkeys. It's not as cute and easy as it looks for some people. For me, it's a piece of cake to raise them but for others, it's a night mare.

Turkeys 101 - New To Turkeys (What Do I Need To Know?)

I hatched out quite a few turkeys last year and was very fortunate that I had chicks hatching with each clutch. The chicks taught them to eat and I didn't lose a single poult. I kept a beautiful trio of Royal Palms. My girls are very quiet and follow me around like puppies. . The male is quite a noisemaker, but I just love it! My only concern is that my tom has been acting out a bit when men or my teen son is around. I'm hoping he gains control of his hormones and doesn't have to find a new home.

ummm, sometimes I think it would be kinda cool to have a bird that big...

I've seen them around here and there. Guy down the rd. use to have them. Maybe google emu farms in your area. I'll keep my eyes open if I see some I'll let you know. Pam
