"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning, last day of the weekend! The rain just quit here, but everyone is still asleep. We are all WORE OUT from yesterday. We made a lot of progress on the chicken house finally. Rafters all up and part of the clear polycarb roof up. Part of the front door framed. I am excited about the old doors we are using. They have been in FIL garage for many, many years, just waiting for this chicken house, lol. They were saved from a house down town that was being torn down many years ago. It is a set of double door, so I have one for the front and one for the back. There is broken glass that will need fixing and we will have to trim the door down and seal it so that it will be more weather proof. But I love the topaz kind of color of the textured glass and the character of the pretty carved designs. So cool! The chicken house itself is 12ft x 12ft. I hope to put sturdy wire across parts of the rafters and slide trays of plants up there above the chicken stalls. If I didn't have chickens this place would be an awesome greenhouse!

I love using OLD materials from houses...thats what the coop windows are..old cypress windows. Even found a penny someone had shoved under one of the hinges dated 1910! Cant wait to see your doors!
I need to paint and the weather is not cooperating.

I love it when things get reused. You should check your penny out it might be worth more than a penny. Check PCGS. Com or a copy of Whitman the red book it has coin values in it. Hope you get your paint done. Pam

Bunnies?? So sweet!
My 2 younger kids are getting bunnies from their godparents for easter...i love them but last time we had one it was spoiled and we all loved it and it died of unknown causes. Lots of tears!
Pam - my husband had looked online somewhere and it said value was $30-40 dollars.

That's great! Good windows with a nice windfall . The good thing about coins the longer you keep it the value keeps going up! Now check your bills and see if any have stars at the beginning or end of the serial number. Those are worth more that face value. Even it they are from this year. Pam

Amanda had a friend sleep over at my house last night and we all went to church this morning. After church Amanda and I went downtown and went aboard the USKidd then played at the Arts and Sciences museum then watched a movie there about the solar system. Afterwards we ate at the Olive Garden. It was a super special day.

All of that said, the only way to make the day better would be to eat one of those cup cakes. Lol.
