Thank you! I have actually just found a feed store in Alexandria that is willing to order the breeds I am looking for and at a very good price. Also they do have insurance on them so if they are DOA or are sick they will replace them for me. They can order the ducks I'm wanting as well! And you are right I have quit dealing with that company. They have done this to me more than once. I told them until they changed hatcheries they would not be getting my business.

Petrus? They are great. I usually get my feed there and my chickens all do better on it than anything else I use.

Yes it is Petrus. I have been doing a lot of business with them lately and love them! That is where I got most of my chicks and ducks along with feed. They aren't real expensive either. Do you use the Petrus brand feed?

To spell check, look on the screen with all your "options" (to add pictures, etc.) It will be the button with an ABC and a check mark under it. (At least that's how it shows up on my screen).  Click that and spell check away!  LOL...

Classes finishing up and then I have to complete online portion.  Take exams and then register for state exam.  I think it's mostly making the time to do it and psychological on my part.  I HATE tests!!!  However, I have to have a good attitude so that I set a good example for my boys.  Also, what if I have to tell them I FAILED the test?!?!????    My husband laughs...He says, "Have you MET some of the people that have passed the test?" He thinks I'm being silly.  I think he's being a bit of a turd!...    He's having way too much fun at my expense.

What test??? I am in the middle of my CPA exam and have studying burnout!!! Lol and that is how our chicken addiction was born!

Yes, I love their feed. Just good stuff. No added antibiotics or scent. Both of which I think have no business in my chicken food.

Hey guys! I have a proposition for ya'll. Here's what I posted on Facebook:

"I'm planning on ordering some show quality Rhode Island red chicks from old lines that will come in around the week of May 19. I have to order a large number to ship. Would anyone be willing to split the order with me? I'll be paying the whole order, then giving half to whoever wants them ( 10 straight run chicks) for the price they were sold to me for, which is $8 a chick. You wouldn't have to pay for shipping and handling. If a third person wants to join in, the two of you could divide up the ten chicks. You won't have to pay until we meet. This are VERY nice birds from Mohawk/Reese lines. I can give you more info if wanted."

I just don't have any need for twenty birds, and was wondering if anyone would want some.

You can sometimes get it relayed to where you will be.. You can pick up feed off of exit 46 on hwy 67 it's closer to Biloxi . Go on face book and get ms.feed train co-op you ask to join message Elaine Rieffer she has the feed. They also have organic food that is cheaper than whole foods. They. Order once a month but she usually has extra but that can go fast. You will have to get the administrator to add you to the co-op. But contact Elaine to reserve what you need.
