"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I was glad to be of some help, I was raised in the late 50s and 60s when good deeds were a common thing and nothing asked in return, if we were told to do it we did it, if we were asked, we did it, if we wanted to do it, we asked and didn't do it if told not to, My grand parents raised 6 acres of truck crops with only a horse and a dozen or more kids and grandkids. A deed is something to be proud of and gives you that ole( I done something Great to help[ somebody out tingly feeling} Know whut i mean?:D .,lol

Yes I do! Thank you again. Pam

One of my Delawares has gone broody. She has been sitting for about 4-5 days now though I don't know how many eggs she has up under her because I collect my eggs daily. and if you try to go near her she sometime pecks at you or makes this noise like she is possessed by the devil him self. OR she puffs her self out so I leave her alone. She does all of this with the other chickens too. So now I have a question.

Is she still in the laying a clutch of eggs stage or is she actually on the 21 day incubation stage?

Those eggs look fabulous! My original girls (21wks this tues) have not started yet. They have been squatting and their combs & wattles are as red as can be, so I'm sure it's any day now......right?.....:hu some one posted on a forum that they thought wyandottes were later than normal. Figures. Are your plans to sell the rabbits? For breeding or as meat?

Is she singing the egg song? She won't hold out much longer with out getting up to eat and drink. Thats when you have your chance to check.

I have been getting 5 eggs a day stedy for about 5 days, figured there wouldbe more by now, i guess the mixed ones are taking longer as the 14 are from the same hatch, 5 is plenty for now, making some adjustments to pen today to allow for green grass access for all the broods.
