I tried that with one of mine but it didn't work. The only thing I've found that works is to pop them into my brooder, which is off the ground, for a week.

Yeah, I meant to put her up in a crate.

Does this really work?  is it like a dogs bark collar?  is it painful to them?

I've only seen it on there site. It doesn't look like it causes any pain. Just restricts them from crowing.

I've been wanting to show everyone this little egg cooker. It works great makes hard boiled eggs in minuets. It will cook eggs any way you like even makes omelets too. It cooks with steam. I took the eggs my hens laid that day and hard boiled them and they peeled great. If I boiled the days eggs on the stove with lots of salt I would have trouble peeling them. It's inexpensive I got it at SAMs . No more broken yolks frying eggs.

That was very good info. I posted a link you don't have to buy a collar you could use a sock , and many other household items to achieve the same effect as the collar for sale. It reminded me of an episode of antique archaeology. They found rose colored glasses they kept the chickens from seeing blood an attacking injured flock mates. It was so funny when the put them on a hen.
