"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I have a bit of a random question: would a dozen farm eggs be considered an ok item for a silent auction? I could put them in a cute little egg holder. I think it would be fine, but I'm not sure if they would appeal to the masses...

Top dog are you still interested in the legbars? I sent an email to the person that was first on my list a week ago and haven't herd back from them. I'll give them another email and a few more days if I don't hear from them you are next on my list. If they do call yours would be a month away providing it's a good hatch. Pam
Yes, sending you a PM

Hey, y'all. I'm having a great family day. My hub took off of work to celebrate my birthday. He got me a new chromebook! We just finished carving a pumpkin, too. After the baby's nap, we will go to the yarn store (BECAUSE HE FREAKING LOVES ME OMG OMG) and then to dinner. Perfect day! Hope everyone else is having a great day. :)
Happy Birthday, i hope you have a good time, enjoy it while you can, before the kids start after school activities, you will know what i am talking about in a few years,

How many of you change your nest boxes bedding weekly?Pam
I change mine or more like put it back every day or 2, my hens will scrtch it around or pick it up 1 peice at a time and drop it on the floor, when we gather eggs, we usually rake it up if not soiled and put it back, most of the time its clean, just laying on the floor, but every 2 weeks we change it out and clean the box's that need cleaning, only 1 or 2 get pooped in and thats from the younger birds that hang out in them after the eggs are gathered. I use fresh hay and we hardly have to clean any of our eggs.

A great idea. I went online at Dollartree and ordered a case of red, and white egg baskets. It cost $36 but I have 36 of them. I saved on postage by picking them up at a local Dollartree. If I can start getting eggs again to sell I'll sell 2 doz and the basket for $7. And refill baskets for $5. It's a thought. I don't have enough layers yet, but soon hopefully.

That sounds so cute! I love ordering from dollartree.

I'm organizing this 5k and silent auction for work and while I think donations are up, the silent auction items are a little slim. So I'm thinking of making a wreath, and also putting in a dozen of my eggs in a ceramic tray. They may not go for huge money, but even little bits help.

Sorry for mixing work and chickens. ;) Everyone I talk to in person is very encouraging and supportive, so I'm not getting a lot of real opinions.

I'm looking at a tray like this:

400

If it's not going high, I'll just buy it back for myself. :D
