"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I had a great day. I sold all the chicken poop in my coop. They did all the shoveling, bagging, etc. and gave me an extra 20 to replace the shavings. :lau
So basically I was paid to let someone else clean my coop and replace the bedding. I love days like this. Pam

Wow this thread moves fast! Ye, I have two light Brahmas, they are beautiful and so friendly. Buff Orpingtons, a lot of them are looking raggedy with molt. They have about half an acre to roam on so the poop isn't terrible!

I'm not sure how much room there is in the yard, but I have to hose off the back porch several times a week. ;)

That is great when that happens, i think it's time for me to clean mine, should be about 4 wheel barrows full.
What a difference14 days make with growing chickens, my EEs are as big as my layers now and the EE roo has been mounting them, they should be laying in the next 2/3 weeks, afew combs turning red, can't wait to see some colors.

I have had to give antibiotics to all my chickens, so no eggs for us for a month! So sad, I'm pretty sure it's infectious coryza, so I'm considering culling, but I have already had to do that once and I really love my birds, but I also wanted to breed them and now I can't....but my duck are doing great which is a plus, and I'll have eggs from them and can raise some beautiful ducklings. I have some very pretty Silver Appleyards, Cayugas and Anconas.

My poulets that aren't laying they won't let the roosters mount. Only the egg layers will submit. Pam

TGIF La-yers! where is everybody? I'm holding down my desk at work & wishing for 5:00 to get here! Going to pull out the winter bedspread tonight for sure! I need to get 2 more bags of shavings to finish my coop for the winter. Looking forward to making some duck and sausage gumbo this weekend!
