"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

We have a female German Shepard. She is really smart, but does have a strong prey drive. Thank you so much for the help! I really appreciate it!

Well thats great this breed I understand everything about them. A female with high pray drive is doable. It's the male west german working lines they have prey drive in hyper Drive. Do you have an american line, west german show line, DDR ? We can whip her into shape in no time. In time you can controll her with the tone of your voice. Where are you in her training? Pam

Today I counted how many eggs I actually had put into the incubator......

700

That may be me next year. But, then we could always use a chicken dinner!

I think she is west German Shepard. She had done basic puppy training, but we have been looking for a place to further her training.

I don't mean to but into a conversation, I did not see where anyone suggested this. But the first thing I would do is teach her "LEAVE IT". its the first thing I teach and train before anything else. It can be a life saver to anything that runs from her if you are consistent in the training and its the easiest thing to teach. If your interested, ill tell you how do to it, if someone else has not. I have 1 weimariner, and 4 daschunds, 6 cats, and 2 kittens. Its a must for any dog to learn. It will also save her life if you drop anything like chocolate, which can be lethal do a dog if too much is consumed!

Now my dog lets the chicken eat out of his bowl while he eats, and that is amazing to me...it really works. He's only 1.5 years old.

In less than 5 mins a day, for a day or up to a week you will see a big difference in your ability to control her on and off leave.....

Just curious, but has anyone been to C&C Auctions in Moss Bluff yet at Big Dans Tent?. I was thinking about taking my extras cockerels and pullets there to auction off, but I haven't dealt with anyone there yet, I spoke with the auctioneer and he said they accept small farm animals and poultry as well as post photos for you on FB? I've just never dealt with an auction house, except the sale barn in Dequincy.

We went all the time when he was in Reeves. We went once in MB but no chickens so we didn't stay. They never went for much in Reeves; we got a FBCM pullet for $3, and roosters were usually $1 or so.

We prefer the auction in Kinder. It's the last Friday of the month and the one time we sold birds they went really high; $10 each for barnyard pullets and $20 each for sussex pullets. But we don't buy there often, because they always go so high. :lau
