Jenny started celebrating a little early. ;)

Hey guys. Its been a long time since I last posted. I've had to downsize on the number of birds I have, but I'm trying to tell myself quality over quantity. Do any of you raise silver laced wyandottes? I'm trying to find some nice hens to upgrade to for my cockerel. He filled out much nicer than I expected. The current hens are docile and good layers, but that's about all they have going for them. They are badly colored, scrawny, and pinch tailed. If I can only get two or three really nice hens, or even pullets close to POL, I'd be happy. I'm open to shipping, and I'm located near Baton Rouge. Thanks in advance guys! This guy is a monster by the way. He almost reaches my knee if he is standing upright and alert. I think I could ride him around the pasture if I wanted..
Happy New Year! May all your chickens be healthy and happy!
And a Happy New Year to you Ricrow :) Don't think I'll make it to midnight.

Happy New Year to you all! (And everyone I didn't quote too) Forgetful that roo is a looker! I don't blame you for wanting to find him some nice looking girls to match.

Its been getting down close to 30 here in Louisiana. Better than 5 degrees like birdman has it.

I have this chick. Lone Blue Copper Marans that I hatched from shipped eggs. It is 3 weeks tomorrow. It is bigger than any of the other chicks from that hatch. All different breeds though. Anyway, I can't decide if I think it's a roo or hen. It's easy to tell on the black copper because there are 2 of them.

And of course now it won't let me add photos. I will try in another post.
