We dug it at the end of February, so I was hoping to have at least A LITTLE water in it by now

There is plenty of other stuff to worry about though. There will be a lot of fence building, tree planting, and barn raising going on in the next year. We need some shade out there... not even one single tree. It's a good thing my hubby is a busy body/ perfectionist / overachiever, or it may never all get done!

Well before we knocked the levee down around it, it looked much deeper. I am thinking that most of it is about 6 ft. deep, and 10 ft. deep at it's deepest point. I am afraid that it will silt in a lot, so we may be renting some more equipment to dig it a little deeper. I have seen ponds this deep silt in so much that they are nothing more than a foot or two deep now. That is the only good thing about it being this dry is that it will be easier to make changes to the pond! I don't believe we are going to line it with anything, but that too is subject to change. I find that the more plans I make, the more I change them so I just roll with the flow!

Thanks and I'm SOOO jealous you got blrws been looking at there pics on the forum and omg and my hubby even thought they were nicE looking too so maybe ounce my quail eggs hatch I'll be able to try and hatch some for my bday lol

Only got a minute ,.. wanted to do a shout out to Julie and thank her for her "broody vibes" my Barnevelder pullet just hatched out a BCM for me and more to come!....

and I didn't lose one night's sleep in the last three weeks!

I may be selling my incubators,...
