"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Here's my bundle of cheeps. They have been chirping up a storm since I got them last week. I'm not too sure on the breeds specifics of some of the black chicks. I have black anaconas, black giants, barred rocks. I guess time will tell. All in total there are 2 turkens, 2 RIR, 3WLH, 2 buff laced polish, 2 ameraucana, 2 ideal 236 white. 4 BG, 3 BR, 1 BO, 3 Black anaconas. I have had a few losses this year sadly. But 25/29 living isn't bad so far.

In case I haven't welcomed you. ha. They say that the ideal 236 is special. What makes it different? Bred with something else maybe. Your picture didn't come through, by the way,.

Yeah, your CCL will jump to the forefront pretty soon. Can't wait for your Barrs to come in. Maybe Pam will show us some more pictures of her new ones. Exciting times!!

Rehab is no fun, let me tell you. I usually take a pain pill 30 minutes before a session to keep it a little easier. So I took it the other day when the occupational therapist came. and then the home health nurse came. Fine. Everything going well. After they left, I get a call from the Physical therapist that he's also coming and shows up after the pill has worn off. I can't take another pill for a couple of hours and he did a total number on me. I'm pretty stoic but it took me until the next afternoon to recuperate. Whining big time.

But I don't hold a grudge and even sent one of my little egg baskets with eggs with him. To be honest, I like him better than any of the others. Very skilled. Going to my Drs appt tomorrow.
Sorry if it's been painful for you. Hopefully it will all be worth it. It's ok to wine just have some cheese with it.

That isn't whining Linda! What you are going through is no picnic! When I had hip surgery and went to the physical therapist 3 times a week I would watch the folks that had knee replacements go through their workout programs. Became friends with a lot of them and it is not an easy recovery. You are doing well I'm sure. Just hang in there :hugs

Cody "fly fart" :) Thanks I need that snorting kinda laugh lol! Linda you are awesome, and good for taking pain management seriously! And I agree about white rocks they are nice foragers fleshing out faster than all my Wyandotte and black australorps. All the while they coo like doves to me :) But even my fierce GW back up a bit. Sadly not quite as impressed with my barred and dark Cornish but like Cody hope with time they do more I'd time will tell... hi to new to by and welcome. I've got 125 birds right now so I've not up dated much but let's see We have 5 guinea 3 females searching every where for random eggs but the new tote nest placed in a weedy area has gained interest by the guineas and our 3 runner duck females. 18 laying chickens, 1 crazy goose, way to many kittes. 2 dogs. A daughter getting married then leaving with her loving Navy man, another in a custody battle ... All I can say is I love reading everything about everyone and glad for BYC!

Thx Lemon. They are funny birds. Built like little bulldozers with bursts of energy when they decide to move.

It's amazing how fast they grow. They have nasty little heinies though.

Heinies.......:clap. My Mom loved that word! And you are so right. Little poop machines. When they get that little burst it's like a big lumbering jet going down the runway........ One that has vertigo. Lol

Wow Moma! 125 birds, but only 18 are laying chickens. You mention a few, bit what makes up the rest of the 125? Congrats on the wedding.
