"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I'm curious if any of you hatch pullet eggs. I'm talking about eggs laid 2-4 weeks after they first start laying. I've been reading responses to that??? And it seems like they go from nothing hatch to 100% hatch rate. Some say they hatch great and if they are small they quickly catch up. I'm just curious if anyone here has done it.

Yes, i hatched my EE eggs a few days after they started laying, i watched the rooster mount then so i knew they should be fertile, i also hatched my fbcm eggs as soon as they started laying, good results.

It will be nice for you to have a vacation and get some rest time in with family. You have been through a lot lately! Hope you enjoy it

Thanks honey, your know I wouldn't have tried it if I hadn't have had the knee surgery. SOOOO much better. It will be totally healed by the time I go. I just got word that Jack finally got a job. He's been up there for 5 months but he's so over qualified for any position that they wouldn't hire him thinking he would leave. It's at GE Electric and though the pay is not great for that area it's a foot in the door and he will stay forever. He is your typical geek with not a lot of social skills. At 43 he should be learning about now. ROFL. Extremely smart with a soft hesitant voice. But an incredibly caring and loving husband and dad.

Just dropping in. My marans is broody again. She wasn't really a good mom last time and I had decided to sell her, but now that she's broody again she's more valuable to me. So Tuesday I gave her six eggs. Today she had eleven. Tonight after work I'm going to get her into a broody suite. ;)

Sounds like she's up for the job. Go girl!

Wow! That's great! Those Los mason jars are valuable especially if any have 13 on the bottom. You won't have to buy much at the store. Wish I lived closer. Except when it's purple hull pea picking day. My Dad grew a big garden like yours and grew those peas. I still remember hulling all those peas every year. Lol!! Can wait till you go home to se pics of the garden. I bet it looks great. Pam
I will certainly find out when I get there
