"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

They've been together for two months, or a little less. The keets are about four and a half months old.

I wish I could help...... I had them together for 4 months and the guineas mostly kept to themselves.

Mine were semi-adopted by a hen that had been broody, but didn't have babies anymore. They follow her around the yard and she shows them treats, but sometimes they go and do their own stuff. They roost in or out of the coop, depending on the weather.

The roo also scratches up things for them. They're a sweet little dysfunctional family.

Thats cool that the chickens do that. I never witnessed mine fighting or anything like that.

This chick seems to have labored breathing and is somewhat lethargic. Has kind of been like this since hatching Saturday. The other one is fine. I did have to assist it a little in hatching,
It couldn't finish zipping after 30 hours..... maybe I should not have intervened an let nature take its course?

Morning y'all. I've noticed my guineas have started picking on my hens. They'll grab a beak full of feathers and just run laps through the yard. The male will puff his wings out, like a linebacker. Am I going to have to separate them, or is this just pecking order type stuff?
Camping, I've read that guineas tend to rule the roost when housed with chickens. Pecking order will probably works itself out. Will be interesting to see the outcome.

CC. I had a chick hatch with similar issues. It breathed a lot faster than the others and slept a lot. Just seemed like it was tired all the time. Even as it was growing it acted like it wanted to fall asleep. It is the runt of the flock and is smaller the the rest but is still alive 7 months later.

Morning Cody. I was thinking about you yesterday. A hawk got poor Emily. It looks like she put up a good fight, though. :(
