Awwww.

That's sad Camping. So sorry. Your such a good chicken mother. Since I've been a member you've impressed me with your diligence and care for your birds.

This chick seems to have labored breathing and is somewhat lethargic. Has kind of been like this since hatching Saturday. The other one is fine. I did have to assist it a little in hatching,
It couldn't finish zipping after 30 hours..... maybe I should not have intervened an let nature take its course?

I can't help with you question but if you want another one or two to go with them let me know.

CC. I had a chick hatch with similar issues. It breathed a lot faster than the others and slept a lot. Just seemed like it was tired all the time. Even as it was growing it acted like it wanted to fall asleep. It is the runt of the flock and is smaller the the rest but is still alive 7 months later.

Thanks...I'm hoping she makes it

I have a few more EE eggs in the bator, hopefully will have some company for them soon. Thanks for the offer but we are good for now .

If your chick is still with us put them on corrid. Also electrolites with vitamen B. That should perk her up. Pam

Camping, I've read that guineas tend to rule the roost when housed with chickens. Pecking order will probably works itself out. Will be interesting to see the outcome.

The first reason I got rid of mine was the noise. The second was the pecking order she was determend to be head hen. She was getting aggresive with my hens so she was sold. Pam
