Awwww.
That's sad Camping. So sorry. Your such a good chicken mother. Since I've been a member you've impressed me with your diligence and care for your birds.

This chick seems to have labored breathing and is somewhat lethargic. Has kind of been like this since hatching Saturday. The other one is fine. I did have to assist it a little in hatching,
It couldn't finish zipping after 30 hours..... maybe I should not have intervened an let nature take its course?

CC. I had a chick hatch with similar issues. It breathed a lot faster than the others and slept a lot. Just seemed like it was tired all the time. Even as it was growing it acted like it wanted to fall asleep. It is the runt of the flock and is smaller the the rest but is still alive 7 months later.
I can't help with you question but if you want another one or two to go with them let me know.

Camping, I've read that guineas tend to rule the roost when housed with chickens. Pecking order will probably works itself out. Will be interesting to see the outcome.
Morning Cody. I was thinking about you yesterday. A hawk got poor Emily. It looks like she put up a good fight, though.![]()
OK, I'll get some corrid and electrolytes. ThanksIf your chick is still with us put them on corrid. Also electrolites with vitamen B. That should perk her up. Pam
