some of my chicks I hatch I have 43 chicks if anybody needs any I have Silkie turken
 
I have 22 hens/pullets from 2 yrs to 6 months. The egg is from one of the Easter babies.

I have zero "laying" hens, and I'm feeling a little salty about it. :rant

I am about 40 pages behind on posts, no, i didn't die, just been real busy clearing brush and upgrading chicken houses of which i have 7, My October hatch are doing great, they are growing like weeds, Pam, the CCL chicks are doing great, Terri, hate to hear you gave up your flock, Camping, glad you got the birds from Terri, Cody, i hope you get straight and move forward with your plans, To all the Newbies, welcome AND TO ALL I WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS, I will try not to be away so long in the future

Your welcome I have a line of pygmies does but then I'd have to (from what I understand) go with a nigerian buck. Since the pygmy is so small and I really want milk a nigerian would work ok but hard to locate around here. The thought was 1 Lamancha 1 pygmy and 2 nigerians. The goats would provide basically lactose free milk for a few critters, & my grandson and cheese :) The high butterfat of the Nigerian and lamanchas make better cheese. Most of my knowledge comes from books though but I've spoken to Boar goat raisers and went to state fair to pick the brains of dairy folks lol
