Ok I need to get someone that could get close to say BR to pick up some ducks. It would be 11 total and get them back towards say Opeloueses or somwhere in that neighbor hood maybe this weekend. I would be willing to bring you some birds or pay you for your expense and time if needed. If they could get any closer to Shreveport that would be even better.

anyone that could help out please let me know.

I would surely use it as a brooder. I would lay something (old towels, etc.) on the floor of it so they wouldn't get any splinters or anything in their little feet. Other than that, it's great! AND it has a lid!?

Haha... I have almost the exact same crate(little bigger w/o lid).... currently in the closet full of toys....Hmmmm.... maybe ......

While doing my head counts last night in the brooder shed,where the showgirls/silkies hang, I had an extra head to count.

itty bitty lil white SG bouncing around.That makes #12 in 2 days from 3 mommas.Tuesday nights rounds collected 9 from one mama and 2 from another.I didn't think any of those two girls eggs would hatch because they had been playing musical boxes and lost 2 nest fulls of eggs to rats.So I picked up the last 2 nests and put them in raised cages.I now have 7 white SG babies and 5 'other' SG babies....lol.. One is like buffy w/light blue back.
Also found one of my silkie hens in the back corner all wet and run down.Put her up into one of the raised pens,so she can recoop....

Terri...Glad to hear someone has been productive today... I wished for rain,but now I'm afraid to go outside...(can't swim)..lol..However,I've now found new low spots in the yard...everywhere!!!

My brain has regenerated...hehe... My two lil silver pheasants I hatched out recently has been lil butt pains.Well,mainly one.Seems I have spoiled him.I let him out to wander for a few minutes in the house and he flew out into the bedroom following me.So I put him back in the birdcage and now he fusses the whole time he's in the birdcage.When I go in he starts chirping this funny lil chirp until I let him out.I'm thinking it's getting close to time to put them outside,but I think I'm gonna miss him....lol.

Has anyone had a new member PMing ya'll asking all about your birds and if you'll give them to them for free?I've encountered one here the last couple days.And they keep wanting all kinds of birds for free...because they have no money...???

If they have no money for birds, then how in the WORLD will they be able to afford to buy feed and pen and other things to care for the birds.

Yea I have and they live close to you lol
PMd me a couple times for free birds saying they didnt have money to buy any. IMO if you cant afford to get them how would you be able to afford to keep them .
I wouldnt mind helping but I cant afford to ship birds to someone for free first off and surely wouldnt not knowing they could care for them .

ANTs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ants are over taking everything . The coop ,run , pigeon flights , truck , carport , trees , garden . I have sprayed with Permetrin , not anyway near my birds though and won't . Used Amdro , although it is for fire ants , used Borax , and after the rain we got they are worse . These are piss ants I guess , little ones that trail for 20 yards sometimes . Trailing up our trees . Help !!!! Short of calling a pest control is there anything I can do .
