"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

My company opened our in plant pumps, we can get 30gal of gas or diesel/shift (they are charging us, not free) but even with that I had to stay in line for over an hour. When the local gas stations open they are swamped and I have seen some bad wrecks. I wish they would coordinate the openings with the police so the impacts to traffic and to each other would be minimized.
We are still down at work right now but I will be working a lot once we come back online.
A lot of folks I work with still have no power or electric, good thing we have showers at work! I'm doing laundry for a few people since I have water and intermittent power.
I was late for work because the off and on power makes all the clocks reset each time it switches to generator.

Mornin. Hope everyone staying afloat.

before i go to Craigslist, any of you interested in ;

2 buff orps,
2 plymouth rocks,
1 ameraucana
1 russian orloff
2 naked neck (turkens)

the buffs, plymouth, ameraucana, & russian are 3-4 yrs old. Minimum. Buff & plymouth still lay decent. Russian i havent realy noticed . Ameraucana is already slow anyway so only 2 sometimes 3 blue eggs a week.

The turkens are about 18 months and are great layers but i want to downsize / incorporate new breeds in.

let me know if yal are interested in trading any or want to buy any of these. 15 a hen.

Interested in the turkens but cannot do anything until next week due to work. Maybe another, possibly the Ameraucana.
Having a bit of a hawk issue. Do you still have any extra roos?
What breeds are you looking at?

Down to 2 roo. And bout to be one. The original is getting old and its his time to go to free range the rest of property with a few hens .

i keep the under 2 yr olds in a 25x25 pen, (normaly around 15) 2-3 yr olds go free range 10 acres (5-10) from what ive seen they survive around a year before predators take them. Always revolving stock and it keeps me with guaranteed 10-14 eggs daily like thet between the two sides.

open to just about any large fowl breed, except any kind of production red. I’d like to get some brahmas again, wyandotes, welseummer, etc. color of egg doesnt realy mater. But no black cochin, australop, etc.

bantams & small breeds wont make it here.

I'll probably be making one more chick order this year, probably from Ideal, if you want me to add a few for you. Maybe at end of the month.
