"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

None of my chickens has laid any eggs since the freeze...
Getting tired of feeding all these slackers.
I hope all of you had a great holiday season.
I have a chicken catalog and trying to figure out what my chicken-keeping plans are for
2023. I have a bunch of people wanting eggs but at the price of feed, I am reluctant to add
a bunch of young chickens.
What have y'all got going on?

@alwaystj9 my small flock is getting older and laying less. I need to add to my flock, I am willing to take on pullets or if I get a broody, I will let her hatch eggs. My usual person that I buy eggs from isn't selling after the last Hurricane. Poor man got wiped out. I have been waiting to see if he will start his business up again.

@Ursuline Chick ; what do u make of the guy on Craigslist (Lecary Exotic) he seems a little shall we say… out there… he has good intentions i think. But some of his project birds shoulda ended up in a gumbo 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
I haven't used anyone from Craigslist in an extremely long time. I have been using Dan Barger for something like a decade and am not sure what I am going to do going forward.
Do you have any ideas?

I got hatching eggs one time from a woman on Blackwater Rd. in Central, LA. I connected with her on the old Bayou Gardener forum which shut down after D. Ducote passed away. I haven't seen her since then but I'll see if she still has chickens. I had a 16 out of 18 hatch from her eggs.
