Just fyi @Ursuline Chick , this guy posts chickens and ducks, ( babies & eggs) from tine to time. If its same farm im thinking of off of hwy19, seems to be pretty clean. Maybe @alwaystj9 ; do u knows them?

Don't know it, I run through there fairly often but I have never seen any signs.

Pretty sure its off spur rd just past the maint/drainage DPW lot , then on old baker rd

Not familiar, last time I went down old baker I was driving a fire truck...I hate that road.

None of my chickens has laid any eggs since the freeze...
Getting tired of feeding all these slackers.
I hope all of you had a great holiday season.
I have a chicken catalog and trying to figure out what my chicken-keeping plans are for
2023. I have a bunch of people wanting eggs but at the price of feed, I am reluctant to add
a bunch of young chickens.
What have y'all got going on?

Hi! I have 5 small mixed breed chickens a year old that stopped laying in the heat of summer and haven't started back up yet. Bought 9 more (2 barred rocks, 2 buff orpingtons, 2 black stars, 3 Easter eggers) and aquired another mix breed from my aunt in June. 8 of them started laying at 16-18 weeks. Luckily the freeze didn't phase them one bit! Hope yours started back up. Happy belated holidays to you!

Lucky that you are getting eggs. My chickens are just eating...no laying at all.
