I have done that before, but not mark up crazy. I forgot what breed but O only wanted like 3 or 4.. minimum purchase was 10 of one breed or 15 mix. So. i would get a variety pack of stuff i knew i could sell quickchick orders in the mail and are immediately posting the chicks on FB for sale
BCMs make a pretty good dual purpose bird. I suggest stewing the males. Like chicken and dumplings with chicken bone broth. It takes a lot of time, but it sure tastes good. Make your own thin dumplings. I feel sure you will be happy with the results.Good luck with them! My whole BCM experience was buying from a girl on BYC who raised some for a school project. I bought them (straight run) for $10/each. Unfortunately, all but 2 were roos. I just do a farm flock, egg layers and an ocassional dual purpose chicken or 2.
