Hey Missi, I know that you were asking about geese and some type of nesting box and then barrels came up, so it dawned on me that I have this little thing that I use for the geese and it's a nesting box that is made from a 55 gallon drum. The geese are trained to go in here and lay and set on their eggs but sometimes they lay where they want but for the most part, I know when they are about to start laying eggs, so I prepare their nesting box placing hay inside. It protects them from the rain and all other weather. Absolutely no leaks. So, when I find free 55 gallon drums, I get as many as I can to build more of these.

You probably don't need anything this big but I just wanted to share an idea with you.

Here ya go! It's dirty since it is outside.

I'm glad to hear about your Coronation flock. I hatched a few for myself but haven't joined them yet with my original flock. The first ones I hatched were splits and I found them a new home today. I think I have five or six young Coronation pullets.

I sent a few to Mike but I don't know what he ended up with. Mike, fill us in on the Coronations/Split Sussex. What do you have?

Joe, I finally got some muscovys. So, now when you ask me to bring some muscovy eggs -- I REALLY do have some.

I've stopped incubating until it gets a little cooler. Over the last couple of weeks the heat has been really tough on the little ones.

On the garden, didn't you say that you don't eat tomatoes?
