It's weird everyone tell me that Orps are supose to be the friendliest breed. Out of the 7 in that coop she is the most skitish, Im patient with her though I think she will come around. The Golden Pheonix in that coop is my fav she is sweet and the 4 PR's are just starting to get real friendly.
When my Orps go broody they turn in to SHARKS!! I'm scared of them. So, I don't know about the friendliest breed. Well, at least not over here at my place. However, the Orps, Rhode Island Reds and Black Australops are the top 3 breeds that my country folks here in Opelousas contact me the most for. These are the top 3 breeds that they use to start their back yard flock. I can't keep enough on hand.
Yeah; they do bite pretty hard -- and don't mind biting you if you reach into their nest. They mean business!
