Hope everyone is getting along okay. We have been getting a few mid to late
afternoon showers over this way. Not a lot of rain at once but yet enough to
keep the garden going good.
I managed to go through all of the young 2-3 month old marans and was
able to get rid of what I did not want to keep for myself. Got rid of 42 pullets
and several of the young roos all in 1 day. At least I can take a little more time on
getting the pens finished.
Guess we will be heading back to the pea patches about the first of next week.
Kuntrygirl, I have an old galvanized something. I think it's a gas can. I also have a cabinet top with a flour sifter that attaches to a bottom cabinet. The counter part of it is made of metal. It is in decent shape for its age. Let me know if you're interested. They are free for the asking.
That sounds great!!!! I am definitely be interested in them. That sounds like some great pieces to add to my "Chicken House Decor". I would love to set something up with you where I can go there to pick these items up. Just let me know what is convenient for you.
I'm all the way there baby!! He showed up and asked if the other 2 were spoken for, I said no and he said his neighbor wanted one and I said you can have them ALL!! He was like well one more won't hurt and took them all!!
But
for me!!
ETA: And I just realized that someone else sent me a message as he was getting them saying tthey wanted them!!
I have Lavendar, and also a pair of Splash Orpingtons that I believe will produce both Blue and Splash Orpingtons. Terri, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not sure since I lost my blue hen. I'm thinking the blue gene is with the splash. Anyway, they are just beginning to lay and I won't be hatching anything for another couple of months because it's just too hot right now. Email me if you're interested as my PM box is usually full.
I hate throwing out my emails.
splash x splash = 100% splash. You have to have a blue to get blues. splash x blue - 50% splash, 50% blue.
I am SO sorry you lost that blue hen! I thought she was one of the prettiest ones I've ever raised.
