These 4 girls hatched this gosling last night. After I got her from under the stock pile, I brought her in.

Too funny. You are so right. A duck, 2 chickens and a turkey. That is overkill. Come one ladies. Ya'll are going to cook the eggs with all of that heat. :/

Same here as far as the hidden cry. It just breaks my heart. And you're right, can't let the kids see you cry.

Who all from here is planning on going to the Jennings show? I know Brad, Rhonda, Brandi, Gracie and Mike are but who else?

I'm showing my RIR's both Lg fowl and Bantams. My Lg fowl Plymouth Barred Rocks and my Bantam Black Rocks. Anyone else showing anything?

Edit to add that there is a relatively new group of us that is trying to put on a show at the end of the year at LSU in Baton Rouge. The name of this start up club is The Gulf Coast Poultry Fanciers Association. I think we are close to 25 members as of today but not sure on that. This is where you can find out about the show if your interested in going/showing. It looks like it's going to be in the beginning of November and should be a really big and fun event for chicken people!!!!

Oh good! I'll plan to show at that show Chris! I was going to show a pair of my Welsummers but my best roo went & broke his toe, the idiot. I have no idea how. So he's out & the 2nd best roo has too much red in his breast to do well.

So I'll come & drool over all ya'll's gorgeous birds instead! Won't be showing but I can LOOK!!!

I don't know. It looks the same to me. No bubbly. I don't know what it's supposed to be doing. Today is Day 2, so I guess we can feed it to them now?

Terri, wouldn't that be nice to show our peas? I wonder if anyone has showed peas before. Although I wouldn't, it was a thought. That would stress them out too much.

Is it difficult for the chicks to peck out of such a hard shell?

Some have had trouble and needed help to unzip after peeping, but others did quite well, but time will tell more, as I just started hatching a few.
