Keep the Corid in the water and wait and see. I am sure the sand dumping had something to do with a few sneezes today. If you want to make sure than spritz some water on the bedding when you let them out in the morning and see if anyone sneezes after noon. They need a little time to get the dust out of their nose before you freak out. I would not mix both Corid and Tylan, it might overwhelm the systems ability to fix itself. Finish the Corid dosage and let us know if anything else shows up.I need more help please:
Since we lost Stubbie and the best guess was coccidiosis, I've been giving them 1 tsp of water soluble Corid per gallon of drinking water since Sunday. I've heard a couple of sneezes this afternoon. No runny noses or discharge of any kind. Everyone is acting "normal". My husband dumped a front end loader of sand into the coop this afternoon. I'm sure it created a great amount of dust. I have now heard sneezes tonight.
I'm trying to decide if I should:
1. Look for a water soluble Tylan 50 and give it to all in the water? Is there water soluble Tylan 50? (Is there something better?)
2. Discontinue the Corid?
3. Give Tylan 50 injection to all birds? I was only able to pinpoint one or two of the "sneezers" ( there are 13 birds total). I also don't want to medicate if not warranted. The dumping of the sand today hopefully is what's causing the sneezes.
4. Do I wait and watch tomorrow and then decide?
Sorry for all the questions. I don't like not knowing what to do. If it's a kid or a horse, I'm good...give me a chicken and I turn into an idiot.

I know my husband was trying to help by bringing me some additional sand for the coop, but right now I'm REALLY jumpy about the girls and need NO ADDITIONAL things to worry about!!! I can do that with no outside stimuli right now.
I didn't think mixing medications was a good idea, but it was just a guess.

Is there another medicine that would be a better choice to use if the sneezing continues? I would really like to have some different medications on hand for the future. I have yet to give one of my chickens a shot. Can't say I'm excited to start, but would do what was needed.

I did this drawing yesterday on a 9 x 12 bristol plate paper. It's done in pencil, ink, marker, and colored pencil. I hope to get this matted and framed and it will be donated as a raffle prize at the show in Baton Rouge. I have several different designs featuring different Fleur de Lis and other breeds of birds. All I need is time to do one or two more in time for the show. Hopefully, we can earn a couple bucks from them!
