Just a heads up if anyone is interested...

I got their composer a few years ago and it was awful. I'm going to throw it away. But it looks like this is different, so I'll go and check it out. Also will pick up some mulch. Thanks!!! It really is a super deal.

That bad?

If you have a weak stomach, skip this post. My kitty a couple of weeks ago had a weeping eye. It looked bad. We have a neighborhood vet that makes house calls. She saw it and gave me some medicine. It really didn't get better. Now it seems I will have to have the eye removed. I feel so sorry for my kitty. He is very shy and will be terrified to go to a vet and be handled by strangers. I can't imagine what happened to his eye. The vet said something scratched it.

This was my happy sweet boy before the injury.

What a beautiful baby. I hope that the eye will be ok. Please keep us posted.

Good morning Layers. I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. A lot of talk on the thread. I have to go back and catch up. See you again in a bit to tell you what's been going on with me. But first I have to see what's been going on with you all. :frow

You won't have to read much, Kuntrygirl. The thread was very slow around Thanksgiving. Yea!! My soap is on the way. I can't wait. Thanks Lemon. Going this morning to continue week2 of Couch to 5K.

Yes, it was a little slow. I enjoyed all of the pictures and stories.

Congrats on week 2. Keep up the great work!

Good Monday Morning! I got to take the kids to school this am. Sweet hubby stayed up almost all night catching up on some of his college assignments. We have been distracting him terribly from his school work on this Thanksgiving vacation! He has worked hard on getting the design of my soap cutter worked out. Its been fun working on it with him. Now the next couple of steps are up to me. Sanding, staining and the like. I wonder how many more days until we get it done........ Hoping to get some Christmas decorating done today! The Grinch is on the TV

It just wouldn't be Christmas without him.

I hope everyone has a great Monday and enjoy the warmer weather!!!

Yes, that bad. The door at the bottom broke off. The bin didn't turn. It was narrow. I dedicated myself to putting in all the right things. I bought a mixing rod there too. I worked myself too much trying to turn it with the rod. 2 years later I only had a couple of shovels of compost. From the foto it looks like their bin style has changed. Maybe they figured out the design wasn't good.

I thought 3 of my chickens were molting there were so many feathers. It's only one!! She is being very shy. Do their personalities change when they molt? It's my first molt. She is sleeping with the babies. I just let her bec they are big cuddlers and I figure that helps her stay warm while she's missing her feathers.

Yes, it seems like they are embarrassed. My rooster seemed fine loosing all of his fluff, but when he lost the tail feathers he sulked until they grew back. You would have thought I had neutered him by how he was acting. The girls kinda roamed away from the flock when they went threw theirs. After the molt everyone would strut around like models with their new prettier feathers. Also, when they grow back they are much softer!

Thanks. She is really sad and won't let me touch her. She really passive with the other chickens but they aren't picking on her. I cut up some turkey and made sure she ate it to give her more protein. She would just let the others have it so I isolated her and she ate it fine.

That's kind of the opposite of what one of our Welsummers did when she just molted. She had always been slightly standoffish since we got her from Terri. But when she started molting she shot to the front of the flock. Now I know it wasn't her love for us. She WANTED those treats! SHE would peck the other chickens if they got in between us. She had a serious appetite! Now that her feathers are almost all in she has settled down. But she isn't quite as jumpy now as she used to be. She sure looks better now that she had more than 1 feather in her tail :p

I got my soap, I got my soap!! It is beautiful and smells devine! I love it. I will have to give some as presents, so it won't be long before I will need more.

Yum!![/quote
