I love rabbits. I've had rabbits that would melt your heart...and I've had rabbits that would eat it. Violently. Lol with some love and lots of treats they come around but takes times and sometimes a few nips. Enough to put a person off sometimes if they wanted a snuggly bunny lol.

I'm good with raising creatures for meat. I do spare some here and there I get fond of lol
They get a great life and lotsa love before, we eat them :/ but we appreciate every bite knowing so :)

Well I guess it will be something I will have to try to see if I can handle it. I'm just glad its not going to be soon. I did eat rabbit at my aunts farm when I was a young girl. I thought it tasted just fine.

My experience with rabbits hasn't been at all what we expected. Bunnies are prey animals. They are hard wired to be skittish. My first two were violent even though we were nothing but sweet and kind to them. That's when Celie told me her rabbits were sweet. I gave her my two violent rabbits (that was out of the kindness of her heart bec she didn't really want them and I couldn't re-home them to be pets). and she let me pick out any rabbit I wanted. They really were all so sweet. Both my rabbits come from Celie. Lela is a New Zealand/Mini Rex mix and GinGin is pure Mini Rex. They are so healthy and sweet natured. But, like any rabbit, you have to approach softly. Rabbits don't really prefer to be held. Once I hold them and rub their nose, they close their eyes, purr and bunny puddle. Lol

I am just killing time until my gumbo is ready when I will take it to my daughter's. It's close. And, after the scares lately, I want to personally close up the girls myself before I leave for Christmas Eve.
 
We are chilling at home this evening. We had to cancel going to a friends house. We are gong to finish up our cooking, and wrap the kids gifts. Eating our yummy turkey :) We basically had to cook a whole Christmas dinner even though other family is cooking for tomorrow too. I just can't trust that they understand the gluten free issue. But since it's all done today we can relax and enjoy the food and family tomorrow. Our kids are dying to open their ONE Christmas eve gift :)

It's supposed to be in the 20's tonight, so I put a fresh layer of hay in the hutch and inside their little bunny houses. It does seem cozy.

Just settled down for a long winters nap...when all of a sudden, there came such a clatter...NOT...you got the possums!!!!
